Deployment can be difficult both for the service member and his or her family that is staying behind
Service men and women who are leaving behind families and most importantly children, should take the following steps prior to deployment:
Protect our Troops is dedicated to providing state of the are home security alarms to the families of all deploying service members. While you are away, your family's safety and peace of mind should not be a concern for you. If you get your home security alarm through protect our troops, then we can reimburse a portion of your monitiriung expenses while you are deployed.
We know how difficult deployment can be. You should not have to worry about your family's safety nor whether or not your home is safe. Our state of the art alarms monitor fire, smoke, break ins, carbon monoxide and even have emergency pendants and panic buttons!
While you are out protecting the rest of us, we want to do what we can to protect that which is most valuable to you.
Some trick and suggestions to make preparing for deployment easiser:
Patience is a virtue. Be patient and know that you will face conflict. Stress levels rise and you and your family members may need to take a step back and exercise more patience than normal.
Get organized. You and your family need to do some research and get your personal info organized. What should be organized? legal documents such as power of attorney, get your bills organized and know who and when they will be paid. Do any home repairs that may be needed now.
Discuss the details. Sit down and discuss with your spouse, kids or significant other(s) what each of you should expect while you are deployed. Make a list and go over things such as:
- how will you stay in touch and how often?
- who do they contact in case of certain emergencies?
